MMPEI-Rackham Energy Fellowship Program
The Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies are pleased to present the MMPEI-Rackham Energy Fellowship Program. The MMPEI-Rackham Energy Fellowship Program supports outstanding graduate students engaged in energy research throughout the University in the areas of (but not limited to): policy, economics and societal impact of the energy challenge; carbon-neutral electricity sources; energy storage and utilization; transportation systems and fuels.
MMPEI and Rackham will jointly provide four (4) fellowships for the 2008-09 academic year. These fellowships will provide two years of funding, to be used for stipend, tuition and health care, to a student who is engaged in research on an energy topic. The fellowship is open to all University of Michigan doctoral students (candidates and pre-candidates) who are interested in conducting and making satisfactory progress toward the completion of their degree. To be considered. students must have the endorsement of a faculty advisor as part of their application package.
The deadline for applications is Friday, May 9, 2008, 5 p.m. EST. The application, with required signatures, must be sent with title "Applicant last name_Applicant first name.MREF08.pdf" in PDF format only to mmpei@umich.edu
The announcement of awards is Friday, June 27, 2008.
